現時香港有過千項歷史建築，當中有不少是傳統鄉村建築，例如祠堂、書室、廟宇、民居等。為了好好保育它們，要有一班懂得傳統鄉村建築修繕工藝的師傅。傳統鄉村建築修繕工藝有不同範疇，例如：
．磚作 — 建造及修繕磚牆
．瓦作 — 鋪砌屋頂瓦面
．木作 — 修繕木構件，例如樑架和門窗等，當中包括木材處理、雕製組件、上色等工序
．石作 — 修繕石構件，例如門框、立柱、鋪地等
．灰塑（以石灰模塑而成的立體裝飾） — 修補或重塑灰塑、上色等
．壁畫 — 加固、修補壁畫等

．
There are over a thousand historic buildings in Hong Kong. Amongst which, many are traditional rural structures, such as ancestral hall, study, temple, residence, etc. In order to preserve them, we need a group of craftsmen specialised in the arts of restoring traditional rural architecture. The traditional architecture preservation technique includes the following types of work:
．Brickwork – building and repairing brick walls
．Tile laying – installing roof tiles
．Woodwork – repairing wooden components such as rafters, purlins, doors and windows, including wood processing, carving          and painting
．Stonework – restoring stone components, such as door frames, columns and floor paving
．Plaster moulding (plaster-made 3D decorations) – restoring or remaking the plaster mouldings, colouring, etc.
．Mural painting – consolidating and repairing mural paintings, etc.

長春社文化古蹟資源中心（CACHe）於2005年成立，一直積極舉辦古蹟保育活動。我們將繼續秉承宗旨，推廣香港歷史文化，建立知識交流平台，鼓勵大眾參與社區文化遺產保育，建立社區身份認同。

/ 關於非遺專車計劃
本計劃由康樂及文化事務署非物質文化遺產資助計劃資助，非物質文化遺產辦事處主辦，並由長春社文化古蹟資源中心籌劃，非遺專車——「移動．非遺」會駛進全港中小學校園及各個社區，把不同非物質文化遺產（非遺）項目帶到大家身旁。非遺專車內設有展覽及互動設施，同時配有一系列教育及公眾節目，以有趣和互動的方式提升學生與公眾對非遺的認識，並從中學習欣賞和珍惜文化遺產。
