香港一年四季也有節慶、神誕、醮會輪着舉辦，戲棚正正為這些活動提供場所，讓籌辦者可在內進行宗教活動，又或是讓戲班上演「神功戲」酬神。戲棚主要由竹、杉構成樑柱及框架，棚頂再蓋鋅鐵片遮陰擋雨。不論該場地是平地的足球場，還是海旁的懸崖峭壁，師傅也可憑經驗「隨建隨拆」，以手作尺，以眼丈量，靈活地搭建出容納少至百餘、多至數千觀眾的戲棚。

Festive celebration, birthday of deity and Jiao Festival are held throughout the year in Hong Kong. Bamboo theatre provides these activities with the venue needed for organisers to conduct religious rituals or to allow opera troupes to perform thanksgiving operas. The theatre is made up mainly of bamboo, fir for the pillars and framework, and galvanised iron sheets for the roof. The makeshift structure offers shelter from sunlight or rain. Whether the venue is set in flat football ground or on a cliff by the sea, the masters can build and remove a bamboo theatre everywhere by experience. Making measurement with eyes and hands only, bamboo theatre housing hundreds to thousands of audiences can be built with great flexibility.

長春社文化古蹟資源中心（CACHe）於2005年成立，一直積極舉辦古蹟保育活動。我們將繼續秉承宗旨，推廣香港歷史文化，建立知識交流平台，鼓勵大眾參與社區文化遺產保育，建立社區身份認同。

/ 關於非遺專車計劃
本計劃由康樂及文化事務署非物質文化遺產資助計劃資助，非物質文化遺產辦事處主辦，並由長春社文化古蹟資源中心籌劃，非遺專車——「移動．非遺」會駛進全港中小學校園及各個社區，把不同非物質文化遺產（非遺）項目帶到大家身旁。非遺專車內設有展覽及互動設施，同時配有一系列教育及公眾節目，以有趣和互動的方式提升學生與公眾對非遺的認識，並從中學習欣賞和珍惜文化遺產。
