拿起手上的雨傘看一看，便會發現雨傘是由傘骨及傘布兩部份組成。要製作一把雨傘，師傅要先裁剪、縫合傘布，然後再組裝傘面、傘頭和傘笠等。窩釘和針線都是重要的組裝工具，昔日在製傘過程中會用上鑿和鎚來打上釘子，但現在只須以一把專用鉗子一按就可安裝或拆除連接傘骨的窩釘，而大型裁縫剪刀和現代化衣車亦令造傘的工序變得較為簡單。

Pick up an umbrella and you will find easily that the umbrella is made of ribs and fabric. In order to make an umbrella, the craftsman will have to cut the fabric, sew the panels together, mount the canopy onto the frame, and assemble the handle and the cap. Rivets, threads and needles are all important tools for the assembly. In the old days, when making an umbrella, the craftsman had to use a hammer and chisel to nail the rivets. Nowadays, the craftsman only needs a pair of specialised pliers. With one push, the rivet connecting the ribs can be installed or removed. Larger tailoring scissors and modern sewing machine help simplify the process of making an umbrella.

/ 關於非遺專車計劃
本計劃由康樂及文化事務署非物質文化遺產資助計劃資助，非物質文化遺產辦事處主辦，並由長春社文化古蹟資源中心籌劃，非遺專車——「移動．非遺」會駛進全港中小學校園及各個社區，把不同非物質文化遺產（非遺）項目帶到大家身旁。非遺專車內設有展覽及互動設施，同時配有一系列教育及公眾節目，以有趣和互動的方式提升學生與公眾對非遺的認識，並從中學習欣賞和珍惜文化遺產。
