每年中秋晚上，薄扶林村也會舞火龍。在鑼鼓聲中，火龍巡遊村內的大街小巷，在每家每戶門前鞠躬、送上祝福，亦會到村內李靈仙姐塔和村附近的西國大王廟拜祭，最後會前往華富邨瀑布灣進行「龍歸滄海」儀式。
薄扶林舞火龍相傳源於一場在19世紀末發生的瘟疫，當時村民相信龍和香火可袪災除病，為村帶來祝福，便以禾草紮成龍的形態再插滿香枝，巡遊全村。瘟疫消失後，習俗亦傳承下來至今。
近年，村民除了在農曆八月十五中秋晚上進行舞火龍外，亦恢復傳統，在農曆八月十四中秋前夕舞火龍，非常熱鬧！

In the evening at every Mid-Autumn Festival, Pok Fu Lam Village will perform fire dragon dance. Amidst the beat of drums and gongs, the fire dragon parades through the streets and alleys in the village while bowing in front of every household to deliver the blessings. It will also pay tribute to the Li Ling Divine Pagoda inside the village and Sai Kwok Tai Wong Temple in the vicinity. Lastly, the dragon will travel to Waterfall Bay at Wah Fu Estate to go through the ‘dragon returning to the sea’ ritual.
The fire dragon dance of Pok Fu Lam was said to be originated from a plague occurred in the late 19th century. At that time, the villagers believed that dragon and incense sticks could help ward off diseases and bring blessings to the village. They crafted a dragon out of straw and covered it with joss sticks. Then, the fire dragon paraded through the village. The plague disappeared and the custom continued until today.
In recent years, apart from the evening of Mid-Autumn Festival on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, the villagers resumed dragon dancing at the eve of Mid-Autumn Festival, i.e. the 14th day of the 8th lunar month. What a show it brings!

本計劃由康樂及文化事務署非物質文化遺產資助計劃資助，非物質文化遺產辦事處主辦，並由長春社文化古蹟資源中心籌劃，非遺專車——「移動．非遺」會駛進全港中小學校園及各個社區，把不同非物質文化遺產（非遺）項目帶到大家身旁。非遺專車內設有展覽及互動設施，同時配有一系列教育及公眾節目，以有趣和互動的方式提升學生與公眾對非遺的認識，並從中學習欣賞和珍惜文化遺產。
